Yeh buddy!!! Weather finally broke in northern IL.. 20 degrees count it! I picked up a beat up monark. 1442 last fall for a song.. And have been amassing materials all winter in hopes to pound this mod out by May ... the hull has a ton of potential.. My plans are to gut the interior... Put a raised deck in the front.. Keep the center open only putting a floor in..and to throw a u shaped bench in the back with some storage ...

It has been a long winter in il... You can drive down any road here and pick up 2 or 3 that a plow or an unfortunate driver has snapped... Otherwise I stopped at a few municipalities and picked up some... For a case of beer... My biggest score is the 3 full sized truck tool boxes that were picked up for 50 bucks a piece... Come with hinges handles hardware etc.. And are diamond tread,.. The signs are for bins and random. But the boxes are for flooring... They are the real deal! I recommend pursuing those...

Have been pounding on this for the last few weekends almost ready ...

As I was scrolling down I was thinking where you were going w/ that, and you pulled it off!
Looks great, I'm impressed =D>

I hope I have your creativity for my up and coming build!

Great job!

A few more pics.. 700+ rivets.. 3 full sized truck toolboxes... 10 street signs.. 20 4 foot lengths of angle ( aprox was using mostly scrap..). 1 4x8 sheet of 2'' closed cell and 1/2 sheet of 1.5 "... 2 sticks of 1"tubing... And around 40 hours of work up to this point.. She goes in the the local high school welding shop this week to get the front straightened and beaded.. And a few other spots.. (Good to have a nephew in welding class) Along with the a complete grind down so she's ready for paint in 2 weeks... I'm happy so far.. When she gets back ill set the chair bases .. Wire up the t-motor, bilge and lights and its ready to roll.. Just need to comb c-list for a duck blind.. ..
