I'll get some more tonight or tomorrow for yall, what has everyone done for battery location in want the weight towards the middle of the boat. I'm thinking under the middle seat

I have the same boat. I put mine in a milk crate and made a wood top for a table. I have it in front of the middle seat. Any farther further and it starts to exceed maximum tongue weight for my vehicle.

I like how you have a deck from the front seat forward. I might have to do that to mine.

gonna make a hatch up front for a battery tray and all my lifevests and rope and thing that don't weigh much I don't want too much weight up there. I'll post more later

WOW!!!! You've been busy! I was just checking to see where you were on it, and I see you have her finished! Congrats! Looks awesome! =D> =D> =D>

Let us know how she does on the water!

Thank you for sharing!

Ha yea it's easy cut and screw and measure can go a long way. Plus I got tomorrow off so I'm gonna fish, had anyone lined their battery area with something soft I'm thinking about using carpet so it don't slam around as bad

I pulled that pic up close last night, so I could see it good. I wondered if you were maybe going to put a battery box with a lid. Not only to protect the battery, but to make sure it is contained if it decided to "leak". Maybe you do have one and I'm just not seeing it.

Be safe out there on the water and have a great time! You've done a fantastic job on her! =D>

Happy Easter!

I don't have anything like that it's a good idea I might have to move some boards out to fit a tray in there

I was just about to send you measurements on a battery box, but, this one came off our barge so it is a big one. I know they come in different sizes, as do batteries. Is you battery a regular deep cycle marine? What are the dimensions?

OK. Outside Dimensions: 13 1/2"L x 8"W x 8 1/4"D without the lid.

It has plastic handles on the sides, but those could be cut off with a jigsaw so it would fit smoothly down in your hole.

A few pics for you. Hope this helps. Might consider cutting the lid down to accommodate it to your space. You have a 2x6 in the bottom of the compartment, right? Might try screwing the box down to it. That would insure your battery doesn't move.

This box has straps that go on it. I just took it off the barge so as to get an idea of battery
placement in our old Lone Star restore.IMG_20150404_085441.jpgIMG_20150404_085455.jpgIMG_20150404_085612.jpg
