So I'm putting a floor and decks in my 1648. I plan on doing a lot of flats fishing. Has anyone had experience with Marine vinyl?

Thanks

Marine vinyl gets pretty hot but it cleans up easily. I don't personally have vinyl in mine but my friends boat does and it get knicked from dropping sharp objects. I to want a flats boat type decking and the best I have seen is epoxy resin with the fiberglass matting

I have vinyl on my floor. IMO it's better than carpet as it is far easier to clear. The casting deck has carpet. Wish it didn't but it wasn't an option when I bought the boat.

I have vinyl on my boat and it is great. It actually has a thin layer of cloth between the vinyl and aluminum for insulation. It never gets hot. I will never buy anything else.

Good call on the no carpet. Vinyl over carpet any day, heat issue aside. Some colors are more colorfast than others, sun is the enemy
