Building my 1432 unknown model jon. Picked up for $600 a week ago super excited I've been wanting one of these for a long while.

Putting in a deck w/extra foam. Planning on a duck blind as well. The goal is to do it all for what ever I can trade for. Ill be buying some paint and glue but hopefully not much more than that.

Thanks for the suggestion. I took it out the same day I got it for about two hours and it was dry. I figured it was good. I had it loaded down with the wife and all the kids. So it was a heavy load.

I dont think im going to have any money for carpet and i cant imagine where it would come from free.
I think ill just paint the inside.

Got a coat of paint on the boat last night. And despite a couple beers it turned out pretty well.

The outside looks rough but i just shot a quick thin coat so it would match this winter when were frozen in im going to clean the bedliner up and re do the outside.

Went with the flat tan on the b nch tops to keep them from getting hot when its sunny.

Still need some carpet.

Nice job, Home Depot has outdoor carpet.
In the mat/rug section for 15$' 6'x10'
Or they have bigger rolls.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately the closest lowes is in Canada. Maybe I'll make a trip across the bridge.

This is similar to what I bought a Home Depot, but in the rug section, precut.

Not sure if that link will work. But if you youtube "how to make a duck blind grass mat" youl get the idea.

I went and cut a full level 8' truck bed of grass alon with about 50 stalks of cat tail grass. Im really excited about this. Ill take a pic of what I got in the AM.

If you need jute to do this trctor supply has a 2250ft roll for $20.

Now i just need some electrical conduit to buld the frame.

Early goose starts 01 sep in MI. I need to get on the ball.

Excited to be away, I like the grass mat idea! I got the torch for you today. Plan on taking out the boat tomorrow if WX holds up for a little fishing on Dixon Lake.

Woodsman,
Thanks for picking that up for me. Good luck with the weather. Looking forward to you getting back up here.

Cut some grass. And cat tails, which I think is technically still grass.

So I'm working on the grass mat.
And because I'm cheap I Decided to make the frame from saplings.
More on that later.
