Been browsing around here for a while. Thought I would share some pictures of my boat, it's a 1972 Ouachita 1448. Here's when I first got it.

Got it home, straightened out the dented side, cleaned it up. Did some research on how I wanted to do the floors and the forward hatch. Ended up using pink foam in between the ribs, with 1/16 aluminum diamond plate on top. The hatch/deck is 1/8 aluminum sheet riveted down onto a piano hinge. The paint is parkers duck boat paint in hunter green. Here's how she sits "finished". Thinking about putting a tray in the rear for the gas tank to sit on, and possibly a shelf with some cup holders on a side. Let me know know you think.

Wow she turned out fantastic! Gives me inspiration for my boat!

Thanks everybody, got a piece of decking made and painted for the rear this last week, just need to cut some foam and put it in. Hopefully I can get the motor back together and running in the next couple weeks so I got some shake down time before duck season begins.

Had to take a break from working on the boat/motor for a couple months, but finally got around to finishing up the motor. 1974 Evinrude 25 hp makes her move pretty good. Here's how she sits with all my gear in the boat and a full gas tank. Drafting around an inch all around. Future plans include beavertail pods on the rear and a long tail mud motor for getting into the skinny stuff.
