I don't know if it was because I haven't had any fish for a while or what, but I cooked up some filets of these and man they were good.

I'm kind of surprised with them being frozen filets from ALDI's.

Half flour, half cornmeal and some seasoning salt cooked in shallow oil. Best I've had fishwise since last summers fresh bass!

I had to look up what it was. A type of river catfish from asia that is farmed. Also known as an iridescent shark.

oh how i DO agree !!
I get mine at Wal-Mart in the 5 lb. bag..
having become addicted to them, I did the google
and found out they are actually "spineless" fresh water catfish
that are farm raised in Asia !!
man-O-man are they good !!!
in my opinion, just as good or better than the deep cold water
ocean varieties such as cod, pollock, etc.
I cut a filet in half, then vertical cut down the center line for some
very tasty fingerling BONELESS strips. this way they all cook evenly.
Personally, I LOVE Zatarain's Southern Crispy fish fry.
