I have a 1642 mod vee alumacraft it is completely open and I want to put flush mounted pedestal seat bases on the left and right side but I don't think the floor is going to be high enough for the base too clear the hull hoping someone has dealt with this before I have 2 bases that I got with the boat but I am willing to buy new ones if someone has a suggestion

Fortunately I have aluminum and welding equipment but my issue with that is it isn't flush with the floor and the reason I need it to be flush with the floor is because I don't want a tripping hazard when I'm fishing solo with my folding chair

LOL Dale - been there too !!

I found one of my old (1975) photos of when
I was "at that age" - - - this is my office chair
in a Jon at a mountain lake in San Juan, PR.
caught a few that day. It was a good "Father/Daughter"
day out on the water. (she took the photo).

Notice the office chair is complete with ROLLERS
on a sheet of plywood !!!

hildebrandr990 - - - photos of your issue will help the gallery
provide you with a little more information that might work.

since a trip hazard is your issue,
in my world, I would consider the pipe flange with a piece
of pipe that threads down into the flange for the seat pin.
When not in use, just remove it. Use a piece of 1/8" plate
for reinforcement and bolt it right through the bottom of the hull.
and of course grind in some channels so it won't hold water.

I will try and get some pictures here soon the boat is currently gutted to do some hull repairs once It stops raining I will get all that done and take some pictures

While this style mount won't completely leave you with a completely flat deck, it sticks up less than most. Add a short pedestal and off you go.

It also might allow you to leave the seat in place and just slide it off to the side when you are not using it. Just a thought.
