Bow mount Trolling motor mounting

I've bought a bow mount foot control trolling motor. I have to Fab a piece to mount the motor. There's a bit of overhang on the front. From the more experienced ones how does the mounting of it look

Looks good , front to back. Maybe twist towards inside of boat. U want gunnel to hit dock, not trolling motor

Hard to see from the angle but I I'd make sure it wouldn't bump the dock thanks for the input
