I plan to fish saltwater rivers with current. A plastic/rubber coated mushroom anchor will not hold my 18 ft aluminum. I have a 12 lb claw anchor which requires no chain, the claw is made of stainless and brass. Is there a way to coat this claw anchor to keep it from scraping my boat if it were to hit it while deploying or retrieving. Thanks Tomm

No need for a bigger anchor, this anchor held my 24 ft bay boat. Just do not want it banging my tin boat.

Been thinking of doing the same thing. I think the plasti-dip would work.
