Went crappie fishing today. Hooked a 15 pound drum on my ultrlight with 4 pound test. Thought I had a world record crappie. Or at least a nice catfish. Sure pissed when it surfaced.
There is a screw right below the head of you trolling motor. You can unscrew it and turn the head of your trolling motor around. That way you can use it is forwards instead of reverse :lol: I did it to mine and it works perfect
Haveing your motor trimmed in a higher position will raise your bow in the water and you wont get as much spray. But it will be much harder to get on plane and you will get a considerable amount of bow rise when taking off with your motor trimmed up. I dont know if this is a possibility for you...

if your thinking about the fish camp motors there great. i bought a 15 hp from them last year and the motor started on the second pull right out of the box and it didnt give me a problem all year. and albert is a great guy to do business with if you decide to. i would highly recommend it.
