Thanks for posting. It just wasn't worth it to me to have it fixed again. The stator was bad, and the power pack. the shop wanted $560 to put new parts in it. So I just went pick it up and got a better one. I changed the format of my pics so that some of them would fit into the 2mb limit...

You can spot anodized aluminum if it is colored like those links, or if it looks like galvanized steel. Aluminum is not terribly anxious to corrode, but it will if left neglected or exposed to salt. A good coat of olive drab industrial paint (about $20 a gallon) will protect it for along time...
Why don't you just fill 10 bottles with water and weigh them? Then count ALL the bottles and do the math. It would help to know your boat's gross weight. Hope they don't rattle around too much. Really nice boat, though. Lots of potential.
