    All good was able to reach the motor easily, lifting the motor for a shore landing is much better than lifting by hand, adjusting the trim on the fly makes the boat a little faster the extra weigh doesn't affect performance. Caught some nice walleye one was a little over 4 lbs.

    I received the CMC unit today much heavier than the 9 pounds on Amazon more like 24 lbs. I'm moving the battery forward and plan running 1/2 tank of fuel to compensate I never use more than 1/2 tank in a day. Tomorrow is install day I'll post the results.

    I've looked at adding a console besides cost prohibitive I'd have to change to a heavier motor with elec start and tilt would be adding more weight. The biggest problem is reaching the tilt lever to pull the motor up, thinking about a push pull cable setup of some sort.

    Looking at adding a Bob's tilt/trim to my MV1546AW Alumacraft Jon boat, my motor is already so far back I use a tiller extension for operation another 5.5" is doable, it looks like the motor will be higher does this effect performance. Not a lot of install information available any tips or...
