    Jet foot height

You can purchase the intake fins directly from Outboard Jets, a set runs around $50.00 but work great if your having any cavitation issues. Good luck with it! Steve

    Jet foot height

Jd, I just went through this on my 3rd jet boat. From what I can tell your to high now, here are pics of mine based directly on Dick Stallman's drawings. The intake fins help tremendously! My boat handles like a Porsche now, I slide over a gravel bar and the foot never touched so it's in the...

Fishing video in the tornado weather of GA

H2O, Great video and loving your boat set up and videos! Glad you guys made it in safe, if that was today I know that cell of weather that came NE from Roswell today was nasty! Steve

    Tracker Grizzly 1754 MVX SC

My first jet boat was a Tracker Grizzly 1654 SC with a 60/40 Mercury. I ran the boat to its max and then some with 3 guys all over 200lb plus 30 gallon bait tank and gear. It took some work and shifting of weight to get on plane but once we did I would get about 24-25mph. It was a great starter...

New addition to the SeaArk plus couple big stripers

H2O, The boat and bait tank look great! I would love to know how you did the plumbing and also design for the mounts? My SBT II does not have much of a lip on the bottom structure so curious to see the design of your mounts? Awesome Lanier Striper too! Steve

jet boat carnage (whos got pics)

Not sure if this classafies as "carnage" but it could have been if not for .190 bottom with 1/2 UHMW, I hit a rock just below the surface yesterday that moved the right side of the boat up while running about 28 mph. The hit did not sound bad but you knew you hit hard as it lifted the boat up a...

    Jet decision?

Here you go, this is your boat with the 60/40 and this guy claims 28 mph with two people. This sounds right, this one has a front center console so that helps the weight/balance getting on step quickly. Hope this helps! https://youtu.be/QcvH6FVOIWA https://youtu.be/ONT76F3wj04 Steve

    Jet decision?

If you keep the load lite (2 people plus gear) you should be fine! That 60/40 is a strong little motor and it sips fuel vs. traditional 2 strokes. If you decide to shop around on the internet you cold get lucky and find an older left over motor for a deal. I purchased a new leftover 2011 150/110...

    Need suggestions

I personally would go with the two stroke 90/65, I had a 60/40 4 stroke on a 1654 Grizzly and with 3 guys and 30 gallon bait tank (equivalent weight to 4 guys total) it ran 25-28mph but took plenty of room to get on step. The 60/40 is a great motor and "new" is good but more HP is better on a...

    Jet decision?

Spanick, My first jet boat was a 1654 Grizzly with a 60/40 Mercury 4 stroke jet and with 3 guys, gear and bait tank it was underpowered. My suggestion is go with the 90/65 and you will never have any regrets! Also a 10 in setback is not a good set up for a jet application, try to get the motor...

    excel or alweld?

I would say it's a semi-custom cover. That was my old Lowe 1760 but I had ordered a center console modified V cover for an 18ft since I had a bracket on the motor I wanted the extra length. The good news is it fits my new 1860 now too. Keeps water out yet it breaths well so you don't have to...

    excel or alweld?

Thumper, Congrats on the new boat! I have used Boat Covers Direct for my past few boats and been pleased with the quality and service. As for using poles for the pitch of the cover I have used these (see link below) and modified my seat post to keep them in place...
