Mine was on the upper left side of the transom,on the outside. Had to loo k for it because of the paint. If your boat is older than1972 it probably won't have one.

    1955 25hp Johnson

Picked up a 25hp Johnson this past weekend for $40 bucks. The bottom part of the lower unit is missing, where the prop shaft is located. Im trying to find a donor motor for it now and was wondering what years, and models, are interchangeable? Model# RDE17-S, Ser#1288177.

    Console

Why would you let the 3M 5200 set before you tighten them down all the way? Just curious.

    matt's alumacraft 14'

I think you would be ok with your plan. I have a 1982 Alumacraft and my supports are further apart than what you're. planning and I didn't notice any flexing in the wood. My floor wasn't screwed down either, it just rested against the sides and sat on the floor supports.

    Transom help.

Mine were riveted as well. I'm leaning towards bolting them in in case I ever need to re do the transom.

    Transom help.

Well, I got the transom out on saturday with no real surprises. The knee braces needed to be removed in order to get it out though and that was the only surprise. Not sure if I should reinstall them with rivets or use stainless bolts.

    Transom help.

No, it didn't look like it was screwed together. I didnt really think they were but, when youv'e never done this before, you're willing to try anything. The piece that came out was really soft almost like lead so it didn't take much effort to deform it. Now i'm hoping the other one comes out...

    Coyote Trapping

I agree with using snares as well. Just follow the laws of your state. Both my labs have been caught in them during pheasant season, but the state I was hunting required that snares have a stop put on them so they can only cinch down so tight so neither dog was hurt.

    Transom help.

Tried unscrewing them today as was suggested. and ended up deforming one end. So I figured I had nothing to lose. Took a punch and basically folded the deformed end into the hole far enough and then just used a socket that fit the diameter of the hole, stuck my extension on, and knocked the...

The Gestapo is at it again............

Sounds like youv'e been singled out. Did you piss someone off? I could never live anywhere with any type of H.O.A. of any kind. My feeling is if you own or are buying a place you should be able to do as you wish. Try painting it bright red and see what they think of that.
