I was planning on placing my batteries in front of the front bench, but i am unsure of the best way to connect them to the motor. If i am running 2 or 3 batteries in a series, what kind of wire would i use to connect them to the motor and can i just run them along the floor?

The battery we used was at most half charged, when I get some time, I wanna string together a few batteries so i can go out for a while at a time

Brine, Thanks for the link, it looks really helpfull. Im gonna need it for a 6 hp chrysler. Its a short shaft about 15", and probably weighs somewhere round 50 lbs.

I may be purchasing a early 80's 6 hp Chrysler outbard for $100, it runs good but i am wondering when something breaks or needs replaced how hard will it be to find parts for it? Is it still worth it buying this engine if it will be impossible to find parts for? Thanks

Im a poor college kid so spending $70 on anything is a big investment for me. Yea he definatley used steelflex, but for for all i know he could have applied it wrong or something. The previous owner of the boat i just bought did use rhinoliner on certain spots on the inside of the boat, it...

They told me that it was a little pricey, kinda hard to apply, and began to flake off. But this is only what one of my friends told me, so they could have applied it wrong or something. What do you mean rebuck them?

What is the best way to seal up the rivets, and keep them from leaking on a Jon boat? I have a couple rivets that leak a little bit on my Jon boat and i want to seal them back up, is there something i can use to just seal up all the rivets all at once. I'v seen the thread on here about...

thanks, other than good compression and whether it has been used in salt water or not, what should i be looking for in the engine or questions i should ask the owner that would let me know if the engine is reliable or not.
