Good looking rig. I would have them tack on a temporary splash plate so you can stay dry while you dial it in. I'm getting too old to balance on one leg and a knee brace while operating the TM, could you use an adjustable buttseat?
Your shop should have at least installed a temporary splash plate to allow you to check out the rig without taking a cold shower. Don't bother thinking about raising the transom until they install the TM and batteries on the bow, a 50/35 will be very sensitive to any weight added and you may end...
With a tiller, it seems like you would want to keep the option to fully trim it all the way down at startup, it would lift you up and lower the bow quicker.
What are you doing with a trim pin? I spoke with a guy at a local ramp that had a similar setup with that motor and it had factory power tilt and trim with a switch on the tiller handle. He wasn't a small guy, he had added floatation pods to the transom.
Crazy fast progress, if you used a video camera it would be better than most cable shows. If you have a GoPro or another waterproof option, hang it off the back during your test.
Wow Andy, you really showed some patience on that one, you've been looking for that impeller for a long time. It will interesting to see your results. If you wouldn't mind taking a photo like redrum I'll add it to my collection.
I'll shuffle alongside the bandwagon until I see the same photo...
Battery project looks good, you have a lot more energy than I do. Your pods were mounted high by someone who thinks keeping them out of the water while on plane will reduce drag. In your case when you try to raise the bow with trim, the pods tip down catching the water and forcing the bow back...
Really didn't see an argument here, just gathering information that might help someone on the forum. I frequent many forums and don't think I've ever had to ask for help for myself, just try to get people back on the road or water. I even spent some time looking for your 90/65. Anyway, good info...
Well, you can't have too many photos, (hopefully you aren't going by the finish that quicksilver uses), with your trailing edges fairly lined up, the respective leading edge of the 4s hasn't "rotated" into the picture. Gives you a feel for how much trailing edge was removed.
If you could get a...
redrum, I enlarged your photo to show that the leading and trailing edge of each vane are almost directly across from each other, just like the 2s. On the 4s, the trailing edge has been cut way back to allow it to spin easier. I believe you have an original quicksilver 2s casting which is why...
redrum, if your new impeller is still out, could you post a photo of it laying on it's side with the same orientation that LarryMc used in his photo. Thanks
