a 3 gallon tank from wal mart or bass pro would be plenty for that motor. No need for a 5-6 gallon in my opinion. im pretty sure you wont be able to use the gas can youre talking about.

Can this mod be done to a the 1992 25hp that has the primer system? Would you have to find a replacement carb that has the same primer system, or could you use one that has the older choke system? I know the carbs are the same other than the primer inlets....Thanks

Neither. I just hold it with my hands kinda like Ving Rhames in the movie Piranhas 3D. Just kiddin, its bolted and clamped. Its only bolted because its on a jackplate. 25hp Evinrude.

My old Evinrude is missing the sound deadening foam up under the engine cover. Anyone know what I can replace it with before I spend $50 from boats.net? Thanks guys

Thanks pappy. I took the boat out this weekendand got the fuel/air mixture corrected. It idles smoothly and wont go dead. I didnt realize the difference the fuel/air mixture would make inthe top end performance as well. Its a lot smoother and more powerful throughout now. Top speed even...
