Get some temp sticks used for welding. They are like a wax pencil that ya just draw a line where ya want to check the temp. I use 120, 140, 160, 180F. I put 4 marks on the motor and see if or how many marks melt.
I just bought the marlon sp14. Paid 3250.00 in october. Unless storage is an issue you just don't know yet that you need a wide jon..aside from storage issue wider is better. That Marlon is wide at the transom so it planes at a low speed by design...good for low powered motors.
...don't know about the dup posts..anyway it crackles as the lightning disturbs the rf..it works very well. When i hear it I check the radar using my phone to see how close it is.
