Yes it is a very stable setup, even when fishing from the casting deck. It's a dream moving around without having to step over benches.

I know it's been a long time, my boat has also been finished for quite a while minus the paint but I don't care. It fishes so much better since I remodeled it. The picture doesn't do it justice but I'll be uploading more by the end of the week. Let me know what you guys think!

    OUTBOARD MOTOR Q....PLEASE HELP!!!

So I'm selling off my 1982 Mariner 30hp, and if all goes well It'll be sold on Sunday. Now, of course, I'll be getting a new motor, pending the sale of mine, and I've found several very nice used motors on Craigslist. One of them is a 1996 25hp Suzuki with electric start (AMAZINGLY good price)...

Aside from the PT debate. How did we do on the frame? It's my first mod so any ideas on how to improve on the work we did this weekend is greatly appreciated.....preferably before we lay down the plywood.

Wow! That transom was pretty rough! I think I'm still going to take my chances as I said before there wasn't any corrosion except on my pedestal. Thanks for making me aware anyway!

Also, the treated 2x4 that I used for the front casting deck hasn't caused any corrosion as there is a factory paint inside the boat. It's only making contact with aluminum in 3 small areas anyway so I'm leaving it in. The only corrosion I did find was on the bottom of my aluminum pedestal base...

Alright, we got some progress made on the boat this weekend. Saturday went great and we got everything gutted out, measured and cut materials. Today (sunday) was pretty rocky mostly because of the constant rain, yes we fought through it and yes we got the floor all framed up! We were soaked and...

Holy smokes its been a LONG time!!! My apologies, but life has its way of throwing curves, doesn't it! Okay, so what i thought was just a 2 or 3 hour project ended up taking the better part of the day. After brainstorming, runninng to town (20 min drive on way), walking around Menards, brainstorming some more, and finally making the first cut was 2-3 hours in itself #-o . But long story short, i...

Alright, spent the last couple days brainstorming here and I have a pretty good idea what I'm going to do with the front deck. The only thing is I have no way to draw it up on my computer so does anyone know of a free program I can download? Either way I well start and hopefully finish the...
