I have one, probably the most stable boat for the size you will ever fish out of. Mine is the 13 ft. model and think weight is about 125 lbs. for hull only, good luck! 8) :D

when i ordered my weldbilt specified NO PAINT! spray down with pressure washer looks new always except for deep scratches; to each his own but don't need no paint or carpet in my tub. Good Luck! 8) :D

Yes they are tough, got a 1242 flatnose and thinking of a 1448 or 1548 mod-v like VH has. I like the open hulls too. I use this little tub on santee, wateree, and trolling for flounder at Garden City and Murrells Inlet. Grandsons like 1242 and would be good one to getem started because of...

Try going to dealer that has your lease and try to deal on turning one in towards purchase of vehicle that will suit your needs at this time; might work for you because they need to sell one worse than you need to buy one. Good Luck! :D 8)

Sorry guys and please excuse me for not reading this post without my glasses! I have a WELBILT and not an ALWELD; however IMHO you can't go wrong with either one of these and I think both of these are top of the line units; just wanted to correct my mistake! Good Luck! :oops: 8)

Good and tough boats! I have a 1242 flat-nose and my son has an 1872 flat all rigged up for bow-fishing. Mine has an 18hp 4-stroke Nissan and he runs a 90hp optimax with a 6hp kicker. Both were bought this year from Backwoods Landing; don't think you would be dissapointed. Good Luck! 8)
