Man, this mod is looking GREAT :shock:
The metal work is absolutely top quality. Thanks for sharing.
I wish I would have had the money, to do aluminum in my boat.
I will have to see how long this Plywood lasts. Then maybe go all metal. IDK though
Cant wait to see more. =D>
WD40 it tonight, then tomorrow smack it a couple times with a hammer. If that doesn't do it I would drill the bolt out from the back side. From the backside cause the torque from the droll might help the bolt break lose.
The boat does have a very patriotic vibe, eh?
Definitely a good buy.
Got my pole storage figured out. I mounted the pole holders on the left side on the front of the bench so the top will slide under it. That way the top supports the reels while the weight of the reels keeps the top in place. :)
All of the wiring is hooked up and everything is mounted to my...
Yesterdays progress,
* Cleaned up the wiring
* Installed all threads in center bench
* Mounted the pole holders
* Mounted the bilge pump
Today I'm going to focus on getting the fish finder mounted. glue some more cleats so the bench top slides left to right.
After that most of the "serious"...
Alright,
Todays progress. Made templates for the front and back of the middle bench, then cut the panels out of the DryPly. Waiting to attach the panels until I get new Deep Cycle batts. That way I can determine the location of the bolts that will hold the panel on. Because they will run right...
Sawzall is hard to keep in a straight cut, but not impossible. Sawzall will defenatly chew it up though.
Different types if blades with more Kerf (angle of the teeth) are make for cross cutting and will also help minimize blow out.
Another good way that I forgot to mention earlier, that...
Yep,
More snow this week. Hope it's not to much, or we will be in some trouble around here. All of the rivers and creeks are starting to ice **** up and overflow from all of the meltdown.
I always to remind myself how fortunate I am to have a garage, even if it is super small. Salamander...
A jigsaw will get it done. However they are notorious for blowing out and ripping up the grain in a cross cut. What I do is lay down some masking tape before I cut, then cut through the masking tape. a little trick to minimize blow out.
Good luck :wink:
That is why I got the adjustable version of those seat posts and mounted them in front of the benches. However this requires decking in the bottom of the boat.
I think that your best bet would be to do away with the posts and mount the seats directly on the benches. or maybe on some sort of...
Are you going to tear out all of the decking??? I would.
Then on the wiring. I would make note as to where the wires hook up to the motor (ignition and trim), plan out what wires you are going to need to go where. Then I would cut that mess of old wire in half right there. Then tape new wire...
Wow rat,
You're boat is looking great. =D>
All of the epoxy and fiberglass will make those 1/2" boards STRONG.
I want to get me some of those courtesy lights too. Because I do a lot of night fishing.
Great work man. :D
