I would guess that that is a carb problem. oil and gas gum up in the bowl blocking the high speed jets that feed gas. if you want to do it yourself take the carbs off. remove the bowl and use some carb cleaner to clean it out. I would recomend taking to your local boat shop and have new carb...

yes, it is a parts motor. and there is a few things that i know. it is a late 80's or early 90's block. its a 56 ci. motor bore size 3.187. couldnt find any other numbers on the block than what was on the tag. just trying to figure the exact year of block.

ebay has some trim and tilt units, most are going to cost 300-500 $$. I would use a factory trim system. They just bolt on to the inside of your motors mounting bracket. Most of the work is going to be electrical. Hooking up a switch and trim relays. Im not trying to knock those cmc units...
