    Just bent my prop

I finally got a day off work so it was time to put the new prop on. Plus, My sister and her 6 kids drove out from Oregon and I promised the kids a boat ride/fishing trip. I go to install my new prop and..... the Marine dealership got me a 10 spline prop. I specifically asked for a "10 inch, 13...

'83 Mirrocraft 16' Lake Fisherman II Restore

5200 is probably the toughest adhesive I've come across. I bet it would hold your transducer plate just fine.

'83 Mirrocraft 16' Lake Fisherman II Restore

Your new deck looks awesome. I'm replacing mine in the near future, hope it turns out as well as yours. I really like the Mirrocraft boats. Ive had mine out in some nasty weather and it has always felt very stable.

Sweet boat! I bought a roll of carpet from Lowes and plan on using DAP water proof spray adhesive.

Blue or Pink Foam Board in Semi V

I agree with 1lhorn. Leave some room for water under the foam. I'm putting new blue foam (from Lowes) into the bench seats and under my deck when I replace it in the next week or two. I would highly recommend using the 5-ply (thick) for your deck. Its not that much heavier than the cheap stuff...

    Just bent my prop

No pitch change (still a 13) but the new prop is not beat up and 1/4 inch larger at 10 1/4 inches.

New here with my first ever boat!

Plastic hull, ok. You might be better off just slapping a trolling motor on (as long as your not trying to go fast). The plus side of a trolling motor vs an outboard: low cost, no maintenance, and portability. That being said; outboards are way more fun (and frustrating).

    Just bent my prop

My new prop (a Michigan Match) arrived at the local marine dealer today. I'm $120 poorer now. Oh well. Gonna get it out on the water my next day off. I'm hoping the new prop will give me an extra mph or two.

Post a Pic of your boat!

Wanted to post a pic of the small aluminum boat I bought for my city yesterday. It will spend its life at our sewer lagoons. Will be used for doing "sludge judge" tests, moving aerators, and cattail control. It came with oars, but I'm looking for a decent (and cheap) used trolling motor...

New here with my first ever boat!

Your boat looks fairly narrow. You definitely don't want to put too much motor on it and sacrifice stability/safety. Assuming its a lightweight boat (looks light in the pics), I would shop around for a good running used 6hp outboard.

    Check this out.....

Very creative. You should borrow a row boat and try it out on the water.

    Just bent my prop

I carefully examined the shaft. It appears to be straight to the naked eye. It is not leaking any gear oil either.

    Just bent my prop

I went to the local marine shop and ordered a new prop. I forgot to ask the price (so did the parts guy when he was on the phone ordering it). I told the parts guy I can order a prop online from $70 to $100. He said it should be in that range. If not, they can send it back where it came from...

Looks good on the outside. Is the motor a Johnson? Let us know how it runs once you figure it out.

New here with my first ever boat!

Nice looking john boat. My gut tells me you should be looking for a 10ish HP motor. What kind of water do you intend to fish?

    Small jet setup

Very cool boat! Did you ever have that motor on without the pods? I bet it was riding pretty low if you did.

    Just bent my prop

So i decided to take the wife out fishing while the kids were in school today. Everything was fine until a nasty wind kicked up. I decided to call it a day. Left the boat at the dock and backed the trailer down the nasty steep ramp at Milner Reservoir. My first bit of bad luck was my truck...

Does the fuel tank have a "hiss" of pressure release when you take the cap off after running the engine?
