One word...DON'T. You will loss the support the seat provides which results in flex in the hull. With alum you will shorten its life and are asking for failure of the hull structure. Frank

I had one of the first ones made and had issues when trolling due to overheating. These motors are made to run at 3600 RPM. Loud and plenty of vibration. Sold it and bought a 6HP Rude and never looked back. Frank

I have used crushed shrimp to sent my plastic baits. Butter dish with crushed shrimp, throw your plastic worms, minnows, or what ever in and refresh as needed. Sometimes I have added cod oil to the mix. Frank

I have a 30 rude on 15' Duroboat. Deep v bow with a lesser v to the stern.Top speed about 24/25mph. Does yours have a v bow and a flat bottom at the stern? Flat vs ved stern does have a lot to do with the speed you will get. Flat is faster. Frank
