New member and new old boat project.

Nice find on the boat and welcome aboard. Can't wait to see the progress you make. I too am on a budget for my build and got my boat from my work at a scrap metal recycling facility. So I really hope to keep my costs low. Good luck and keep us posted.

Crappie you are not kidding about the paint removal. But first we used paint stripper and then I took a wire wheel to it. That combo seemed to work pretty well. However because of the amount of work that it is, I feel we may not strip the outside hull we may just sand it a little and repaint...

Well was able to work on the boat a little this weekend. Put a stripper on the paint inside the boat and worked well, but not perfect like I wanted. I ended up getting a wire wheel for my drill and wow did that work great. It took off the rest of the paint that the stripper didn't get. Going to...

nice job fixin that hole. now a question, that boat patch you used, how good is that stuff to use as a small hole patch on the high spots of the boat? do you think it will last a long time because i dont have a welder to fix them properly? thnx for the input.

I thought of the cuddy cabin but not sure I could afford a bigger motor for awhile. Going to use a small gas and my trolling for now. But I have done just that, started a list of wants, and am getting ready to start drawing them out.
