i've heard of the soap technique here in wisconsin. Haven't tried it yet though. I fish the Rock and Fox river here and get them. Caught a few flatheads and one blue cat i got here. I usually use nightcrawlers on stink bait. prefer night crawlers because they're not as messy as stink bait.

I just had another thought, because i'm also having the same problem (made a thread too). Check your fuel tank for air leaks.

did you check your spark plugs to see if they look good? maybe that'll help hopefully.

i have a 30lb thrust minn kota endura right now. it pushes my 1448 alumacraft (aka The Hypnotoad) pretty good. but i was wondering would it be worth upgrading to a 40lb thrust TM?

yes, it seems to only happen when i'm speeding up. sometimes it doesn't do it at all. I've noticed if i gradually speed up sometimes it wont do it, as apposed to just gunning it. thudpucker, how do i check the shifting dog? will i see it as soon as i take the cowel off?
