    77 Smoker-craft Bench Seat Mods

There is no plastic, the chair is built very well. I also bought the swivel base with quick removable base. I think it will be a very good seat vs the big bulky vinyl padded ones. The swivel base will be here today and I will take some pics of the completed setup.

The new seat is just sitting on an aluminum step stool to get a feel for the height and position of the seat. I am currently building an aluminum pedestal with a little storage space underneath, I will post pics of that soon. The seat is a Wise AeroX seat and it fits my needs and the boat...

Thanks! I like it a lot. 😄 Years ago I bought a brand new OptiMax, 2 stroke, 150 Mercury with a jet pump on it. The thing came in a box as big as a Volkswagen, honestly one of the best days of my life... I really love new boat motors, something about them I really love. The guys that have...

    Help identifying a boat

That's a neat old boat and the brochure you found is cool, it does look to be a standard model from the pic. Here's some more info on them: http://www.fiberglassics.com/library/index.php?title=Texas_Maid https://forums.iboats.com/search/4081949/?q=Texas+Maid&o=date What are your plans? are you...

Western W-17 Rebuild advice needed and build thread

That is a cool boat and it's great you are bringing it back to life! A great place to boat on Whidbey Island too! I was born and raised in Mt. Vernon and we are a big navy family, I recall going to air shows at the NAS and clam digging in Penn cove back when I was 12 years old or younger. I've...

No hinges on the top, 4 screws that hold down the fish finder which is also NMEA 2000, could be a PITA to access... but hopefully I am not blowing fuses! 😆

    Little Jon Build

Cool! Do you plasma cut aluminum? I cut mine with a Milwaukee M18 saw, the thing is awesome and it cuts aluminum like butter, I also have a chop saw for angle, strap, etc. I TIG all my stuff, but I have always been interested is a spool gun. Talk to you later, John

Nice work! Spring is almost here, though we are set to get another winter blast in the next few days. I dig your spool gun, does it use just argon for a shielding gas? Keep up the good work and keep posting progress pics. :)

Got the console and battery box all riveted down to the hull yesterday. Added a latch to the front deck and a onboard charging port for the battery box... I am going to add a mini 100AH lithium for the onboard electronics and accessory power with a NOCO 3 bank charger so when I get in from...
