[QUOTE="alteredpilot, post: 503204, member: 34468"] I have what I believe is an '82 Sea Nymph 14R Big Water. It was a Uhaul rental boat and has the capacity tag, but the HIN on the transom has been chiseled off. I bought it titled and registered. The guy said the DMV assigned it a HIN but I don't know what he knows about what he's talking about. The assigned HIN looks like someone made it up on the spot. So the question is, might there be a second HIN location that a savvy inspector might have known where to find? Is anyone aware of a site where I might find what a Sea Nymph HIN sequence might look like for that vintage? Either way I'm going to stamp myself a new tag with the assigned number on it. thx.
