I bought a Minn Kota Endura for my Lund WC16. I planned on mounting it as close to the center of the transom as possible but after getting it home I realized it has to go pretty far to one side or the other to avoid hitting my motor. Will this affect performance? I feel like having it that far to one side would decrease steering accuracy quite a bit. I will be taking it out this weekend to try, but figured I could get an idea before hand. Thanks

I think it's not that big of an issue. Most trolling motors are mounted off the center line on most boats. You get used to your boat's configuration and soon it will become second nature.

If that electric motor pushed your boat at high speed then you might have an issue, but at the few mph your gonna go, you wont notice a thing !! I have saw many clamped to the side and worked fine..
