    Transom material questions

If you have access to an aluminum welder, that would be best for the cracks. I would not trust any type of epoxy. I would recommend a wood piece on the outside of the transom, I don't like clamping to metal, most small outboards have little teeth or nubs that bite into wood to help keep the...

    Another Adventure...

Same here, if I don't recognize the number, I swipe it off. Wife, kids and docs number show their names, all others..swiped off. Keep my phone turned down unless expecting a call. They can be a pain, but at my age, a needed safety tool..

    Local Boat Prices

With the high inflation and high interest rates, people are strapped for cash and loans are expensive. Toys are not selling well right now. Those who do have some spare money right now are grabbing bargains when they find them. It is a buyers market not for sellers. Things will change, but...

    Another Adventure...

Glad to hear you are doing well ! Went thru the same back in 2017. No pain, just a heavy weight on my chest and did not feel right. Daughter called 911 and ems came out, already took an aspirin as daughter is a nurse. Blood tests showed heart attack even though EKG was perfect. Next day had a...

    Bimini Top

Same with me, been using cheap Amazon bimini tops for almost thirty years, honestly never had an issue. Never had plastic parts break, never had a top rip or tear. I do keep a boot on mine to keep the sun off. Remember when a problem occurs, the weakest part breaks first ! Those plastic...

    Zip Ties

The ones for fuel lines are stronger and gold tighter before breaking as you found out. Gotta remember...if it is for a boat...it will cost a lot more !! But typically those expensive parts work better. When it comes to a fuel leak on a boat.....I won't take that chance. Fuel ties are...

    Bimini Top

Most all over the counter top kits will have plastic connecters. If made of the right plastic they will outlive the top. Mine are over 20 years old with no issues. If you want all SS fittings, either use a custom canvass shop or swap out the plastic fitting for SS fittings. Gonna cost a...

    Foam Replacement

3/4" might be overkill, my flooring jobs have been 1/2" with no issues even with a 4' span.

    New Family Wagon

Honda makes a great vehicle, we have owned many over the past 20 plus years. My only complaint has been the road noise, they don't as much insulation. My wifes CRV is noticibly louder than my Cherokee. However, no repairs other than routine stuff on her Honda's.. both vehicle just over 100K miles.

Well, I did it…. Minn Kona help needed

That is how my 16' Sylvan operates, I have a little 2.2 hp kicker that sets the speed and use my 55 lb MK electric bow mount with remote to steer. Uses much less battery power and the baby Merc uses about a quart of gas an hour or less...
