Yeah that's an interesting knee brace setup on that boat. If that's factory it should certainly narrow down manufacturer personally never seen anything like it. The seating arrangement and gunnels and overall shape remind me of my 1976 polar kraft 1436.
Ethanol free 91 @ the pump closest to me that offers it is $4.99. Luckily my yamaha 4 stroke is quite efficient downside is the boat has a 40gallon tank . Truck averages between 14-16 mpg while towing the boat depending how fast we're going which I think is pretty good with the wind drag of a...
I've seen a couple double decker pontoons on the lake but the upper level is small. Maybe half the length of the lower level and always with a slide from the upper level. Looks like a tun of fun !
So our plan to get on the water early this am to avoid the crowds worked. Not sure how needed it was the campground on this stretch of river looks 2/3 empty. Usually boats and docks line the shore for about a mile but I see most haven't even put the docks in yet. It's 10am and I've seen 1 jon...
We just got back from the electric only lake that's right behind us and only 1 boat trailer was at the ramp. It was a 18ft deep v pro craft and they were trying to launch in about 6 inches of water. They had to put the subaru outback they used to tow it with in the water with the water almost to...
I take our 1436 to an electric only 300 acre lake sometimes. I wish I could run the 5hp merc on it everytime I'm there lol. The 4 strokes are very quiet even the larger ones.
When I hear 1248 I assume we're talking 48" bottom . I had a 48" bottom boat albeit 16ft not 12 and it didn't behave anything like that and it had a 20hp 4 stroke.
Against all better judgement we plan to go out and go tubing Sunday am. I have access to a private ramp luckily so atleast no riff raff at the ramp lol. In all seriousness we will probably launch around 8am and be done by 1pm when it starts getting busy.
I wouldn't think so with a 48" wide bottom but I would make that cabin out of the lightest material you can to keep your center of gravity as low as possible. I've fished with 3 grown men all over 220lbs each out of a 1648 many times and thar rig had casting decks front and rear we walked...
Even at 6amp on a 100ah battery you would have to run full throttle for hrs on end to even replenish 50%. At 4amps full throttle wouldn't cover the draw of a 10" chartplotter. Your 7amp charger likely takes overnight to top off your battery your best bet is more batteries or a generator you...
