14' Mirrocraft Deep Fisherman Restoration

Killer work Dobsonfly, the transom and seats turned out great. If you can stand it, I would not cover the seats. Bright work shows up beautifully on a restored boat and it's easier to clean too. Great job! =D> Despite how good the seats look from a distance in the photo, I didn't really treat the s...

I was able to get the new motor tuned up. Plugs, ignition box, water pump impeller, gaskets and a good cleaning. Made a trip out yesterday but had to leave early due to a storm that blew in.

Thanks for the info. This project is on hold for a bit, going to be busy for a while so just planning on taking the Mirrocraft out.

14' Mirrocraft Deep Fisherman Restoration

Thank you again for the kind remarks on my build and best of luck with your own! I was able to pickup a nearly two decades newer motor, that has seen little to no time on the water, at an auction this past weekend. 1975 Mercury 200 - 20 HP Under the hood literally looks showroom condition, ...

Thanks for the detailed posts and pictures. I really enjoyed following your work! I really admire your attention to detail. I'm in the middle of restoring a 1957 Crestliner 710 Viking, and I'm just happy to get it in useable shape! But after seeing yours, it makes me think I need to flip mine, sand...

Top notch clean quality craftsmanship. Again your build inspired me greatly. Speaking of which it, will be waiting until after our Kansas winter for me to start back on again. 8)

Wanted: Windshield Brackets

I am looking for windshield brackets. Similar to these pictured would be great or something close. Need to accept flat glass/plexi windshield. Two piece or one piece is acceptable.

Reply to post with pictures and pricing or message me.

Thank you!

Dobsonflies and Hellgrammites for bait

My great grandfather co-authored a book called Bait Fisherman's Guide. I can always recall reading about the Hellgrammite and Dobsonfly in the book. Was even lucky enough as a young kid to meet and have Harold Ensley sign a copy for me (only real connection between Harold and the book is fishing but...

Watching some windshield brackets on ebay right now same as yours I believe. UPD plastics will make me a window but they were definitely proud of them... where did you get your tinted plexy and how thick did you use?

Mirrorcraft 14 Deep Fisherman

Do you like the bi-mini pretty well Bigwave? Also do you know of a good fitting trailerable cover for the 14' Mirrocraft Deep Fishermans? I am wanting to get one but am cautious of the standard "semi-customs" https://www.basspro.com/Taylor-Made-Trailerite-SemiCustom-Boat-Covers-for-VHull-Fishing-Boa...

14' Mirrocraft Deep Fisherman Restoration

I was able to get the bugs worked out of the 1958 Mercury Mark 28, 22 HP. Running wide open with 2 people and gear I am able to hit 20 MPH. Running solo gets a little crazy not sure how much faster but it was enough to make me grin. (not sure where my digital camera battery charger is so n...
