Are all portable fuel tanks crap now?

Thank You EPA!

Thank you also for Ethanol!

Thank you for Tier III Marine diesel engines!

Screw EPA for everything they've done. Because it continues to hurt the end user and small business owner with no commensurate, verifiable environmental benefit.

Kill EPA.

End of rant.

What steel screws and brackets do to aluminum

After gutting rotten interior discovered what iron brackets and screws do to aluminum ribs. Shiny due to wire cleaning. What people said above - but give it an acid wash, then neutralize with ammonia / baking soda if you intend to prime / paint. I don't think any aluminum "brazing" is structural. Y...

Roofing tar sounds right.

Keep away from the Coast Guard and Environmental Police.

Dissimilar Metals

Point is with aluminum boats don't have any "gaps" to bridge. Keep everything aluminum or marine grade 316 stainless steel [using tef gel]. Not hard to do. If you use galvie, steel, brass, bronze, copper for any fittings you are asking for trouble. Nothing will bridge a gap in a marine or freshwater...

Grizzly 1448 wont PLANE HELP!!!!!

Just curious - what boat did this engine come off of? I think you need to know the engine
WOT RPM.

1. Difference in weight between the two
2. WOT RPM & speed each boat
3. Current prop

Portable Generator lightning deal

Seems pretty $$ for a 2200 watt unit

I haven't had good luck with newer BS engines.

Home Depot has a 5,500 watt Westinghouse for < $650

Monark 14 ft upgrades

5XXX+ series is marine use aluminum. 6+++ series $$ and less malleable.

1/4" is very heavy for a 14 footer. Hull is only 0.10 "

I really like your project. Great job.

Quicksilver Vengeance SS Prop 14 X 12 $100

Just realized this is still in my garage. $100 plus shipping. Original box and packing. Virtually unused. Previous owner used one day - incorrect pitch for his rig. Me less than 10 hours. Bought this to experiment with a 12 pitch. Didn't get a bump in performance so selling. Will be shipped in origi...
