Either drain all fuel or run some premium non ethanol with stabil through it first. Change oil. You can fog the cylinders too.

Re: 16' Alumacraft

My last boat had some drop in floor sections between the bench seats. I used bolt latches, like on a tool shed, to lock into drilled holes in the bench sides front and rear. My benches went all the way to the floor. Worked great for me

Re: In boat rod holders/storage?

Bought some 6 place rod holders and cut them in half. River and zip tie to the seat braces. Been good for 3 years so far. Image

Great looking hulls. I wish we could find those boats in my neck of the woods. Should sound great with the flowmasters on it. Lol.

Re: Anyone familiar with Princecraft Pro 16' boats early 2000's?

My friend has a 17' Lund. 2000 model with a Yammy 115 4 stroke. Exceptional boat. I run a couple utility timmies, a 16' Naden and a 12' Harbercraft I like the utilities for camping but the Lund gets used in Georgian Bay for downrigging. Options are to find sandy sites to pull the big boat up on or t...

Re: Anyone familiar with Princecraft Pro 16' boats early 2000's?

No doubt princecraft is a good boat. Lots of Lund around me as well (Owen Sound). As for legend, I am seeing quite a few both older and new but I've only welded on one. It was a split seam and I think it was a fluke otherwise I'd have seen more of them. You mentioned camping. We do several yearly tr...

That's exactly what the vro engines did and what the etec engines do. Interesting idea.

Good point. Are the plugs wet after trying to start it?

Re: Opinions on Utility V-hulls

Depends on how big the bodies of water you fish on are, and if you fish when it's rough. I love my 16' deep vee utility but I am often in big water and never alone. If you never see a wave bigger than a foot, I'd go mod vee. 14' is lots if you are always by yourself. A flat floor and front deck is s...

Re: 50 HP 2-stroke

Is the fuel in an onboard tank or a portable? If there is good spark, fuel and compression... I'd be looking closely at that fuel. I've seen fuel come out of ATVs and snowmobiles that wouldn't burn when poured on the door and a lighter held to it.

Re: Hydrofoil

Try putting 100lbs or so up front, if that cures it, I'd be moving batteries. Booster cables make good budget battery wires. I wait for the good ones to come on sale at princess auto here in Canada or look at harbor freight in Murica. Sometimes 16-20 ft come on sale for about 30 bucks. I can't buy w...
