Selling boat question

When I upgraded the boat I kept my fish finder because it was relatively new and does everything I want it to (within reason Lol). I reinstalled the HB Piranamax that was original to the old boat. I left the old down riggers with the old boat because I wanted to upgrade those to electrics. Other ge...

Selling boat question

A used helix 5 (side imaging) is about $300 all in, which is what you've got at this point - a used helix 5...this is what it will cost you to replace it so this is it's value to you (should you want a helix 5 on your next rig). I would wager a buyer might pay $100 or $200 more for you to include i...

Remove it - it's got more value to you than it will to a potential buyer.
I’m not sure about that. Trolling motor, a 2011 Minn Koto Maxxum 70# thrust and a 2011 Garmin base model ...
The other depth finder, the one I plan on keeping is a year old Humminbird 5 Helix, etc.

Selling boat question

One strategy is to have the accessories on the boat during the advertising part. When the buyer low-balls you, then offer to sell the boat minus the goodies. Usually they want the accessory. I pretty much value stuff at 1/2 of new price, if it is in good shape. It is a big hassle to sell odd stuff ...

Selling boat question

If you were selling your boat, would you remove things like depth finders to keep for your next boat or sell individually or would you keep them on the boat as an incentive to a prospective buyer?

UPDATED QUESTION Where do I buy a new trailer?

$1,200. New lights, wiring, springs, axle, hubs, tires, hitch, winch, winch strap and a rust free frame. All you have to do is hook it up and drive it home. No headaches. Spend your free time doing almost ANYTHING else. It’s a no brainer for me. If I were going to keep the boat, I would probably sp...

Where do I buy a new trailer?

Well, it was until I got under the boat to take a closer look! Uh oh, sounds like you didn't dodge a bullet here. I'm going to replace the lumber on bunks, have plastic sheathing to cover it. Due for tires and the leaf springs and hubs are due too. Spoke with a boat dealer to get a ball park number...

There was another thread a while back that talked about how some of us view boat trailers as a necessary evil.

Anyway, it sounds like you have an easy and relatively inexpensive solution.

Yeah! How often does that happen in a conversation about boats! :LOL2:

Where do I buy a new trailer?

You might want to get a price having your trailer repaired. A weld shop could do it. If it isn't badly rusted, it can be fixed cheaper than buying new. They can weld on a swing away tongue. I'll get a pic of the condition ASAP. I honestly think it's just a matter of new lumber to replace the old. T...

Where do I buy a new trailer?

My current trailer, a Bear, for my G3 1756SC took another dump on me. This time it's the bottom bunks, out of nowhere, one side bunk just rotted when I was trying to put the boat on the trailer after a few hours of fishing. I replaced the side bunks a month ago. I always check the trailer after laun...

Remote tiller kit Yamaha?

Yamaha does NOT have a remote to tiller kit conversion kit for 9.9 outboards. Is there an aftermarket product?
Thanks

Where do you keep your Boat?

In the garage now. In the drive-way under a tarp when it was in NJ.

UPDATE! Maybe tin no more

Thanks! It's solved 50% of my problems. Step 2 is the front deck, which might be a matter of carpeting or a spongy vinyl. Only major issue is the console that takes up deck place. I might be better off getting a different boat. O.K. then, the electric winch solved 50% of your problems. Here's the o...
