Will this affect this site, or some of the posts?

I'm no expert but it appears tinboats already is httpss

I guess it depends if there are any https pages still on the website. Then again, I probably don't know what I'm talking about[emoji3]

Chrome will block the content within posts that doesn't have httpss, yes. It won't block this site entirely as it is served via httpss. Posts with https links within them will not display the https ("mixed content") links within them.

This kind of thing is ultimately going to lead to the death of the internet, or at least exclusivity in access, due to certain large "caretakers" seeking nothing but more money.
A certain quote seems appropriate here. "Money is the root of all evil".

I use Safari which I understand followed suit with an unsecure site warning. That is a setting I can change. I assume that is universal with browsers, but really don't know.

Anyway, if these kinds of changes result in improved security they sound like good changes to me.

Does anyone know of any unsecure (https) sites? I did a search out of curiosity and the list that came up was woefully out of date.

Most are served via https yes. The issue is links within this forum that are set as http (which given the age of the forum, there are quite a few). I'll see if I can't run some mysql query love on them.

So it seems to have worked. All links have been replaced with https and I also fixed links to the gallery from here as some weren't displaying. Time to send Jim a bill
