I am new here and was wondering if anyone else has built a jet jon using a jet ski for the drive.

:WELCOME: Thanks for joining!

No one has done that yet, but I have seen some videos of it done before on youtube.

My family and I have built 4 over the past 4 years. They are fun boats to run and they can cut around almost as good as a jetski. I was curious to see how many are out there.

One person here did do this and detailed the whole process.

That is basically what we ended up doing. We started out with an old clunker for a test and after we saw that it would work we went with new boats. It is kinda hard to cut a 14" x 30" hole in the bottom of a new boat. Mine and my dad's boat are 15 footers with 650 Kawasakis, a friend of ours has a 16ft. with 650 Kaw, and my brothers is a 16ft. with a 1200 yamaha. The 650s all run around 30mph, my brothers runs close to 50.

My 16' jon with 650 kawi and tigershark pump does around 27mph on the GPS. It is pretty heavy though. My next boat will have more ponies....

This one is for sale - $3500

By the way, Hi all !!

Hear is all I have for pictures. The steering is from a kawi stand up which I modified and the throttle is from a snowmobile. The throttle cable is from a tandem bike rear brake.
