New to the forum... have a 14' "Gamefisher", not sure year, it isn't a very deep boat but great for small lakes. Its overdue for some TLC and mods. I would like to re-do the back bench seat and make a front deck connecting the 2 seats... any tips or pointer? Removed old bench tonight, will start mods on the weekend. I have a 15HP johnson on the back, transom needs some work and trying to find a small pinhole leak... but she does float and catch fish! I also do plan on redoing the foam under the seats, i have read that that is something you don't want to mess around with!
Any insight would be appreciated!

Go with polyethylene foam. It doesn't absorb anything or deteriorate from gas or oil. Easiest way is to use swimming pool noodles. Good luck!

Good find! Browse the build threads man. Tons of boats like yours. You'll get alot of good ideas from the guys on here. Keep us posted with pictures on the build!

I know. It can get overwhelming scrolling through all the threads. From what I have read it isn't recommended to take our middle bench. Which is fine. Just wondering if I should replace that front bench? As I am going toh have a plywood deck I think that would be just as strong, if not stronger than that little seat

Look at my build. I cut all the benches out and put a cross brace in. I left a little bit of the bench there so I could bolt in a 2x4 brace. I did this on all 3 benches. I don't have a picture of the rear deck bracing, but it's the same as the other 2.
