I got this boat for 100 without a title. I was able to obtain a title finally.
And today I scored this 2004 mercury 15hp for 200.
In all im only 500 in this thing.
Motor wasnt running but I finally got it running and great.
Motor sat for 10 years, its practically new.
Its a father and son project. Ill be updating as i go.
It started as a bare shell with a bad transom. In 1 month we replaced the transom, replaced the benches, made a custom trolling motor mount and got the new motor running. Im proud of my son. Cant wait to hit the water.
Its rated at 20hp but I couldnt pass up the deal on this motor.
Thats my youngest son, I have an older one lol

Nice job! I would try to get a more substantial TM mount than 2 2x4s bolted together. There's a lot of energy transferred from the motor up the shaft when you hit the GO button on the TM. I was fortunate enough to have my wife who worked at a metal fabrication shop (as Office Admin) and I designed an aluminum mount for my 1448 Lowe Big Jon. They built it to my specifications and it works great. Mine is a flat front boat though with a lot of metal to bolt the mount to. But it really looks great!!! You and your sons will make many great memories in that boat!!!
