Well I havent posted on here in a while, I have actually done another basic mod since I posted last (will attach some pictures).
I was wanting to put a real basic small center console in my boat right behind my middle seat. I guess my main question is for the steering and controls. Do I have to get something that is special for my exact engine. Or since my engine is an evinrude, can it be any of the control setups for any of the size motors close to mine and close to the same year?
I have a 1988 Evinrude 25hp motor...I was hoping it isnt year and motor specific, if not I can run down to the boat yard down the road and pick up a used steering wheel with cable and controls with cable. Like can I get one from say a 35 or 40hp motor if its an evinrude / johnson?
by the way its a 1963 Duracraft 1448 boat. Very high sides...very stable for a jon boat.
