Baked Garlic Crab

First you run down and put a baited trap down in the salt water and tie it off to the dock or....go back down a few hours later and pull up your dinner. That is how we do it here but you might need to boat out to crab in your area or pick it up at the docks from a fisherman or even a store, but it must be live crab as this is cooked freshly harvested.

4 Dungeness Crab (here in the Pacific Northwest, our crab of choice over Red Rocks).
A cube of butter (no subs here, sorry)
A full big Lemon
A few good sized Garlic bulbs
Salt
Pepper
A good Chesapeake style seasoning mix
Baking dish
Foil
Patience!

You put the oven on 350 to warm it up till up to temp, then put the freshly cleaned crab, legs only into a baking dish in one layer. Cut up the butter and scatter the pieces. Place sliced garlic cloves all over it and then season it to your taste, squeezing half the lemon on it.

This needs to bake for about 45 minutes and you will not need to dip it in butter.

Serve it with a mixed green salad, fruit and spirits/wine or your beverage of choice. :)

Sorry no pic til I figure out how to post them. ?
