Wild Rice soup and Chili Con Carne has been a staple at our Super Bowl gathering for many years. Mine is not a tomato based Chili. Mine is a Red Chile with Red wine base. This years red wine will be a 2001 Mac Murray Ranch, Sonoma Coast, Pinot Noir. It is often said that Chili is better the next day. Mine will be ready tonight. It will sit for two days then come out Sunday Morning before we leave for Church. Picture below is from a few minutes ago. This will simmer for hours for the flavors to marry and to thicken naturally.

Wild Rice soup gets made the day of as it has heavy cream in it. Don't want that to curdle. I pre cook the chicken and wild rice though.
