I am rebuilding a 98 Tracker v17 STILL.:) I am putting new pedestals on. This is going into 3/4 inch. Is there a need to put some sort of backing plate to secure the bolts through the plate? Or will going into the pronged t nuts be fine alone?
Thanks

Are you thinking molly bolts? Assuming you have access to the underside why not simply use some 3/4 washers?

Well I will have access until I screw the deck in :) I have though about that.

I bolted mine through alum angle underneath to spread the load. I believe the plate is about 7x7" which didn't look strong enough to handle a lot of stress by itself.

Good Idea.
