I picked up this boat, it needs a good bottom cleaning. I've used typical fiberglass hull cleaner on my ski boat, just not sure it's cool for my aluminum boat with a factory finish. Looking to keep her factory original finish in good shape. So far I've tried simple green, mild clear-coat aluminum auto mag rim cleaner and a 1500 psi pressure washer still looks youckie.

Any suggestions???

Thanks Sloffie.

I would try muriatic acid. Dilute it, and use eye protection, gloves, and a respirator. It'll work, just be careful with it.

On bare aluminum I use scotchbrite and vinegar 50/50 with water. On the paint.... maybe it’s time for a refreshing.

Thanks all, I'll give a few of them a try.

I'm not a fan of muriatic acid, it's really nasty stuff.
