I’m gonna use Sternsaver transom mount with epoxy to mount the transducer for Humminbird Helix 5 DI GPS. My prop rotates clockwise so obviously it goes on right side. In attached pic you can see the drain plug is right smack in the ideal location. To the direct left of it there would be turbulence from the guide plane beneath boat. To the right of it would be pretty close to edge (and near bunk rail). Water line can be seen faintly. Any advice on location?

Also...looking at the side pic, is there any possibility I could use side imaging transducer or would the outboard get in the way?

Thanks!

My solution is only for small rowboats. Good luck.

Well, it seems you really only have two choices. Looking at the rear picture that would be either to the left of the bottom strake or to the right of the drain. I might opt for the right side of the drain if there is no possibility of damaging the transducer from the trailer bunk. Putting it to the left of the bottom strake would work if you have sufficient clearance from the outboard. Your transducer mounting/user guide should provide information on needed clearances.
