Finally some fish are moving up. Biggest around 5 pounds. I was throwing the 4" Tru Tungsten swimbait, but after 6 missed fish (hooks too small for swiping fish?) and one that came unbuttoned at my feet, I had to switch to ole reliable (clown X-Rap). I picked up 3 before I called it a night. It feels good to catch some fish again.

Back at it again tonight.

A 5 pound striper can fit an entire X-Rap in its mouth.

Bonus deer shed I found a couple weeks back. Tree rats got to the tines. The big one is from last year.

I went to fish a beaver pond off the road earlier yesterday while I was waiting on a fella to call me back about a boat and I was a foot from stepping on this. He was as big around as a can of spraypaint. Cottonmouth.

:LOL2:

Of all the 5 venomous snakes we have in Missouri....this is the one that I'd least like to be nailed by. That's a really nasty bite! Glad he didn't get you.
