Lock N’ Stow

June 15, 2019 by jim Leave a Comment

I purchased a Lock N’ Stow for my boat and finally had a chance to put it on to see if it would actually fit. The particular Lock N’ Stow I purchased from Amazon was the model 10108. I was hoping it would be a solid fit for my 115 HP Mercury outboard, and it was. The unit is small and solidly built. To me, this was worth the $66 dollars.

To be honest, I never heard or saw one of these units until someone mentioned them over on the Ranger Aluminum Boat Owners Facebook Page. I made a really quick video to show its size against my hand and how simply it works.

It literally took 2 seconds to mount this and set it up for travel. I do however need some guidance. Does anyone recommend hole placement? I can’t seem to find any information on recommendations.

Final Thoughts

I am done with the old school style transom savers, for some reason I keep on losing the stupid strap that wraps around the outboard. This Lock N’ Stow is the perfect replacement. The reviews on Amazon also put my mind at ease. Hopefully, the quick video and pictures help someone decide if they should take the plunge and buy one of these awesome little units.
