95 lbs is much lighter than mine. Sounds good. I have a piece of Coosa left over from my Admiral. I could send to you for shipping cost only. It’s great to work with. It is 21” x 48” x 1”thick.

    1957 LoneStar King Commander

She is in great shape so it’s a project worth doing. I have a 25 hp short shaft on my Lonestar Admiral and it flies so a 20 hp should be great as well. I have a new 4 stroke though. i am a novice and learning to rivet was interesting but YouTube is a help of course. Good luck!

Winterizing a Newer EFI 4 Stroke

Thanks for the help. I think a little fog down each piston can’t hurt. Suzuki isn’t helping me too quickly.

Winterizing a Newer EFI 4 Stroke

Thanks for the response. Your instructions make perfect sense to me. My OEM manual for my DF25A has the following, which does not specifically mention fogging thru the plugs but maybe #7 is fogging? 1. Change gear oil 2. change motor oil 3. put fuel stabilizer in the fuel 4. flush water passages...

I have a newer Suzuki 25HP EFI 4 stroke outboard. I understand you shouldn’t fog an EFI engine thru the intakes as it will mess up the injectors. The manual says nothing about fogging. You tube posts…some say to fog in the spark plug holes And others say to add a little 2 stroke oil into your...

Replacing transom held by aluminum brackets

I did my Lonestar Admiral 2 years ago and had the same issue. I wasn’t able to replicate the old transom shape exactly as it is too wide to get in without dismantling the entire back of the boat. I used a center punch to score each rivet and drilled out the rivets with a bit smaller than the...

    Sealant for transom bolts

I finished refurbishing my 1957 Lonestar Admiral Deluxe and will be installing a new 25 HP 4 stroke this spring. It requires transom bolts and don’t know what sealant to use for the bolts. Any ideas would help. I have seen a few negative things about 5200 and aluminum. Thanks
