This is the plug I eventually got to fit in my '69 sea nymph with a similar drain

1969 sea nymph, 14' kicks a lot of spray when there is any wind soaking the driver at mid+ speeds. Have any of you had this issue and what did you do to fix it

My 1969 sea nymph would not qualify. Spray rails do not protect the driver at speed on winds, transpme design is not good for keeping stray waves from washing over and it isn't terribly stable (tippy) .

This has me wondering if it could be a solution for lack of high speed response on my 87 johnson 15hp. Certainly worth considering.

issue resolved, after getting the rubber out of the threads the crestliner plug fits perfectly. Thanks for the assistance.

I was able to run a pipe up from the bottom and finally work it through the floor by turning it back and forth. I think I had a situation where use of the rubber plug had deposited rubber into the threads and until it was all cleaned out the pipe wouldn't thread all the way. Anyway, once through...

The vintage plug looks like what it needs if I can just figure how to get it to thread from the top. The setup requires that it seal above the floor.
