    Question on outboard jet HP

That's why I mentioned weight distribution. Really need to have any batteries and the gas tank near the front. if you do then you'll be fine, if the batteries and gas tank are in the back then it will probably be over weight.

    Question on outboard jet HP

As long as the transom will hold it and the boat will float it I say go for it. I've got one on a 1760.

    Question on outboard jet HP

It should work well enough as long as your expectations aren't overly high and the boat is setup/balanced properly. Is it going to be a speed demon with 3 guys? No, but it should get you around just fine.

    Water absorbing foam below deck

It's not just older boats having the issues. Hundreds of new tracker boat owners are also having trouble with it.

She's all done, been done for a few weeks now. Did some fine tuning on the jet setup. I'm getting right at 33 mph out of it with me and the family in it. Cruises really nice at 30mph and 4400-4500 rpm.

One is a bait/livewell tank. The other is storage. I made the bait tank oval to help keep fish alive and decided to just make the two match. Got the boat out on the water with the whole family. She ran out at 32.5 with zero tuning done. I've got a few things in mind to squeeze a little more...

2004 Crestliner - possibly partial rebuild

harbor freight makes a couple "cheap" welders that can run a spool gun. if you want to take the time to learn a new skill then go for it. Great way to make money on the side as well.

    G3 Pulls to the right

If you go on outboard jets site they have a write up on how to fix this. Basically you tweak the nozzle just slightly. I also have a 90/65 yamaha but mine is a tiller, i've wanted to tweak mine but have held off because the pull isn't that bad and I'm afraid it could somehow make it less...

This is basically where i'm at with it now. Gotta put nuts on the inside on all the bolts and then it's time to flip her back over and start on the gas tank and then decking/storage. The runners and seams have all been welded up. don't have a picture of that though lol.

    Longer Aluminum Boats

Several vendors in LA can get at least 20' long sheets. But like you said, shipping will eat you alive. You can certainly splice sheets together though if you're determined. My first boat was made up of (4) 5x10 sheets of metal. I had a seam up the middle and on the sides. Was it ideal? No, but...

I was, just now got mostly out of bowfishing after 10 years or so of it consuming my life lol. I still do alot of work on bowfishing boats though. All my metal i sourced through Bayou Metal Supply in Slidell LA, it was a bit cheaper and 2 hours closer than Peirce Aluminum that I usually go to.

    Jet boat build.

Long time reader, first time poster. . . Figured I'd share some pics of my new build as it's taking shape. I live in middle Tn and fish our local tailwaters for trout and bass, a few years ago i built this 1760 with 1/4" UHMW and a 90/65 yamaha to run up and down our rivers. After putting a...
